Health & Safety and
Environment advise across all areas of manufacturing and operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and supporting the development and implementation of
HSE strategies. You will play a critical role in providing technical guidance, managing training programs, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:- Ensure full compliance with UK legislation and company standards for environment, health, and safety.
- Provide technical advice and support for a complex manufacturing site.
- Design and deliver training programs, including toolbox talks, permit writing, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain training databases, matrices, and annual schedules.
- Assist with internal and external auditing processes and maintain COSHH systems and provide guidance to site team members.
- Support and develop a team of local shop floor EHS Coordinators.
- Accurately report and investigate incidents and near misses.
- Complete and review risk assessments and safe systems of work in accordance with current legislation and company standards.
Requirements:- 5+ years of experience in a similear Health & Safety and Environment role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK and European health and safety legislation.
- NEBOSH Certificate.
- Ideally a degree in Health & Safety Management or the equivalent level of practical experience.
- Proven EHS professional with excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Pay and Benefits:
